Face shape, as we know, is one of the most important criteria of beauty and attractiveness. For this reason, the shape of the face, which is the ratio of the chin, cheek and other areas on the face, which we call golden ratio, is popular. One of the most important criteria in the golden ratio is that the chin and cheeks form triangles. Thus, the face looks younger, more attractive and aesthetic.
“Hollywood Cheek” is the triangulation procedure performed on the cheeks with cheek aesthetics or the name in our technique. In the USA, especially with the operation of many Hollywood stars, aesthetically satisfying results are obtained. The name of the procedure in the literature in the USA is also referred to as Bichektomy.
The Hollywood cheek operation is based on the principle of removing an excess of the fat pads on the cheek with a one-cm cut from the cheek area, without leaving any marks outside the face. Liquid foods should be preferred on the first day as there are small stitches in the cheek area in the mouth. The next day, you can gradually switch to normal food. In the first 3 days, it is absolutely necessary to keep the stitches sterile with mouthwash. Already the area where the stitches are is almost never painful, patients sometimes forget that there are stitches and these stitches will melt spontaneously in a few days. Very mild tenderness in the cheek area also disappears within a few days. Our patients can return to work even on the same day. The noble image of the cheek begins to appear within 3 weeks.
